Offered by the Department of Management Information Systems, the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (MIS) prepares future digital leaders to design, develop, and manage API-driven products that fuel business innovation. This cutting-edge program blends technology and business expertise, equipping students with in-demand skills in cloud computing, cybersecurity, agile methodologies, user experience (UX) design, and data analytics.
MIS prepares students to:
- Design user-centric software applications using modern UX techniques, ensuring seamless functionality and engaging experiences.
- Develop dynamic web applications and API-driven solutions using core web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and frameworks like Express.
- Master cloud deployment on Amazon Web Services (AWS), building and managing robust API infrastructures.
- Strengthen cybersecurity skills by applying cryptography and vulnerability analysis to safeguard applications and businesses from cyber threats.
- Analyze data effectively through data mining techniques and manage both relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and MongoDB.

Summary of Requirements
University Requirements
All new students are required to complete the university's General Education (GenEd) curriculum.
Note that students not continuously enrolled who have not been approved for a Leave of Absence or study elsewhere must follow University requirements current at the time of re-enrollment.
College Requirements
Students must meet College Graduation Requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration, including the requirements of the major listed below. Management Information Systems students must attain a 2.0 GPA in the major and a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to graduate.

Students must follow the Major Requirements and College Requirements current at the time of declaration. Students not continuously enrolled who have not been approved for a Leave of Absence or study elsewhere must follow University, College, and Major requirements current at the time of re-enrollment.
