Overview
Offered by Department of Risk, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, and Legal Studies, the Minor in Corporate Risk Management is open to all students, with the exception of Risk Management and Insurance majors. The minor is designed for students majoring in other disciplines such as accounting, criminal justice, earth and environmental science, finance, or philosophy who seek exposure to risk management principles in a corporate environment. Students will learn how to analyze and treat risk (including risk mitigation and risk financing) as it arises in their business and personal pursuits.

This course has additional prerequisites of RMI 3501 and STAT 2103/STAT 2903 (AS 2505 can be taken in lieu of STAT 2103/STAT 2903 as a prerequisite for this course).

- Two of the three prerequisite courses and three of the four minor courses must be taken at Temple.
- Minimum grade of C- is required in the prerequisite courses.
- Minimum grade of C is required in the RMI courses.
- A grade point average of 2.0 is required in the minor courses.
- Minor courses cannot be used to meet the minor requirements if already used to meet requirements for a major or different minor or certificate.
- Courses for the minor must be completed prior to graduation; if completed, the minor will be recorded on the final transcript upon graduation.
