Overview

Offered by Department of Risk, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, and Legal Studies, the Minor in Actuarial Science is open to all students, with the exception of Actuarial Science majors. The minor offers students the opportunity to explore actuarial science to supplement their studies, where they can refine their analytical and mathematical skills to prepare for the required professional exams and a career as an actuary, which specializes in the evaluation of insurance and financial risks across an array of industries.

Requirements

  • Open to business or non-business students.
  • Two prerequisite Mathematics courses are required (8 credits total).
  • Four Actuarial Science courses are required (12 credits total) and must be completed at Temple.
