Overview

Learn how the field of journalism is impacted by visual media and is expanding beyond text-based media. In the Visual Journalism minor, you'll understand how images and videos are essential to news and the channels through which information is conveyed. Courses cover visual skills including photography, videography, graphic design and multimedia storytelling. Students in all majors will be prepared for careers across a variety of fields.

This minor is open to students in and outside of Klein college, except those who are majoring in Journalism.

Requirements

The Minor in Visual Journalism requires a minimum of 18 credit hours in the following courses offered by the Department of Journalism. Students must earn a grade of C- or better in each course that fulfills a requirement for the minor.
