Overview
The Minor in Leadership, offered by the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, consists of six courses (18 s.h.) which provide students in other Temple University programs the opportunity to better prepare for life after graduation by acquiring the knowledge and skills required to communicate effectively and to lead organizations, teams and individuals.
The goal of the Leadership minor is to help students understand leadership is a communication and relationship-building process, not simply a job. Leadership requires responsible, thoughtful reflection and action at all levels of society, not to mention within organizations of all types. Leaders must be self-aware, know how to manage teams, make ethical decisions, and lead with an intent to make positive change in the communities and organizations they serve.
