Overview
In the 20-credit Certificate in Italian, offered by the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, students learn to effectively communicate in Italian with confidence and cultivate their writing, reading and listening skills. Apart from being the number one study abroad destination among university students, Italy's importance in the corporate world and its complimentary pairing with humanities studies make Italian the fourth most studied foreign language in the United States.
Certificates are awarded only at the time of completion of the bachelor's degree and cannot be awarded either as a stand-alone program of study or after completion of the first bachelor's degree.
