Overview
A Certificate in Chinese, offered by the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, focuses on learning language skills and developing a strong foundation for the effective use of Chinese socially and professionally. This program should be of particular interest to students considering careers in international business, government service or other professions where foreign language proficiency is important. This program also contributes to meeting the diverse language needs of students with personal or academic interests in China and its culture.
Certificates are awarded only at the time of completion of the bachelor's degree and cannot be awarded either as a stand-alone program of study or after completion of the first bachelor's degree.
