RADI M596. Nuclear Medicine. 0 Credit Hours.

In this clinical elective, students will be exposed to the field of nuclear imaging. They will learn how to review images and understand the indications for different studies.

RADI M599. Neuroradiology. 0 Credit Hours.

This clinical elective will provide the opportunity for students to participate in the team in the neuroradiology reading room. They will be assigned cases to read each day, review patient history and exams in Epic EMR, and follow up on other relevant tests such as labs. They will present cases to the attending, with imaging findings and impressions and with differential diagnosis if applicable. Students will work with faculty and radiology residents on their neuroradiology rotations. Cases will derive from various practice settings, including the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient.

RADI M718. Abdominal Imaging. 0 Credit Hours.

This clinical rotation provides students the opportunity to directly participate in day-to-day medical practice in the radiology reading room with faculty and residents in the abdominal imaging department. Major modalities include x-ray and fluoroscopy of the GI/GU tract, CT of the abdomen and pelvis, ultrasound, and MRI of the abdomen and pelvis. Students will be exposed to a wide range of pathology and will gain an understanding of the workflow and challenges faced in abdominal imaging.

RADI M720. Radiology. 0 Credit Hours.

This clinical elective provides students with broad exposure to radiology. Students will participate in radiology teams. Students will learn the indications for different radiologic exams, and develop the skills to interpret them.

RADI M722. Interventional Radiology. 0 Credit Hours.

In this clinical elective, the student will predominantly spend time in the vascular and interventional radiology suite and work one-on-one with the attendings and residents on service. Students will be introduced to and participate in the multiple procedures performed in the department on a daily basis. This elective resembles a surgical sub-internship in its scope, intensity, and responsibility.

In this clinical elective, students will integrate into the team working in the MSK/Chest reading room, where musculoskeletal radiology studies are interpreted on a daily basis via PACS workstations. At these film reading modules, students will participate in readout sessions of x-ray, CT, MRI studies, and ultrasound studies. Imaging cases will derive from various practice settings, such as the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient.
