PHLG 9995. Master's Project Course for Non-thesis Track. 1 to 6 Credit Hour.

A Capstone project can be the culminating requirement for the non-thesis MS degree. The Capstone project could be a literature-based assignment whereby the student prepares a document on a specific subject consistent with the theme of their graduate program. The student will be mentored throughout this project and must receive a passing grade in order to receive the MS degree. Another possible Capstone project could be laboratory research but as an assistant in the lab rather than working in an independent manner. The goal of this would be to expose students to various research techniques, data interpretation and record keeping. Again, this would be mentored and would require the student to either prepare a written document detailing the work and/or an oral presentation at the end of the semester in which they are registered for 9995.

Level Registration Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate.

Repeatability: This course may be repeated for additional credit.
